In today's rapidly evolving world, traditional classroom settings are being complemented by innovative spaces that foster practically oriented teaching learning. Makerspaces, also known as fabrication labs or innovation hubs, have gained prominence as essential centers for creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning. In the context of Ethiopian Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), these spaces could play a crucial role in fostering innovation, bridging the gap between theory and practice, and preparing students for real-world challenges. This paper explores the significance of makerspaces within Ethiopian Universities of Applied Sciences by complementing practice-oriented learning. Using an integrative review method, the current study conducted an examination of related literature on the areas of makerspaces; practice-oriented teaching learning and innovation and developed an integrated model, which combines the three constructs.

摘要
