To be fit for the future, engineering education must increasingly focus on sustainability issues, including circular economy and energy efficiency. Traditional engineering education generally lacks the requirements for a green and sustainable future. The development of the new bachelor’s programs is part of the EU project GreenChips-EDU, which was launched on October 1, 2023, and aims to make complete educational profiles from bachelor’s to master’s level sustainable. The consortium of the project consists of universities from Western and Central Europe, including Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Austria. The goals of the project are to develop a bachelor’s degree in green electronics, which we will describe in this paper.
