Physical Computing as a Way to Motivate Students Toward a STEM Career
摘要
In this paper, we describe a case study carried out in a Portuguese urban secondary school involving students from the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. The study involved 70 students. The objective of the study was to assess if, after attending a physical computing workshop, their perspective about it and towards pursuing a STEM career had changed. For that purpose, student filled-out a small questionnaire at the end of the workshop. From the data analyzed it can be concluded that they generally liked the workshop and that, at least for some of them, their perspective about technology and STEM has changed positively.
