Female goitered gazelles leave their fawns alone for almost two months and approach them 2-4 times a day just to nurse. For the first month, they feed their fawns with milk in a peculiar series of suckling sessions, when several dozen suckles can be observed in one session. As the fawns grow older, the number of suckling sessions and their duration decrease, and by the middle of the second month of milk-feeding, the series disappears. Females feed twins more intensively in the first month, while singles suckle more after that.
