Sustainable Marketing: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Healthcare Perspectives
摘要
Sustainable marketing focuses on the environmental concerns caused by climate change, which affects our health and well-being, as per the focus of the chapter. Social responsibility is focused on community protection by saving our planet through ethical and moral obligations. Ecological aspects, such as biodiversity, respect for nature and communities, and health and well-being, need to be sustained and protected. Businesses can create awareness of their brand identities through the process of sustainable marketing by promoting socially responsible practices such as, for example, supporting or promoting adequate health care. Organizations can choose to place their brands as caring for community health through CSR initiatives by aiming to promote adequate health care. Including CSR in an organization’s brand identity helps them stand out as wanting to assist society by caring for people in communities (with the goal of health and well-being), thus linking back to the overall goal of sustainable marketing. Health communication is a tool that organizations can use to sustainably market their CSR health-related initiatives by educating, informing, and assisting people in communities on illness awareness. Organizations can use health promotion to promote social responsibilities (such as health and well-being) in society at large. The case of cholera is used to indicate how environmental effects impact health care and illness.
