The human urinary volatile organic compound (VOC) profile offers a rich matrix for biomarker discovery because urine is relatively easy to collect and reflects metabolic changes associated with disease states, including cancer. This chapter explores the emerging role of urinary VOCs in colorectal cancer (CRC) diagnosis, reviewing the latest research findings, methodologies for VOC analysis, and potential clinical applications.
