We discuss exact solutions connected to two models of epidemic spread. The exact solutions are obtained by means of the Simple Equations Method (SEsM). The solutions are connected to the SIS and SIR models of the spread of epidemics. The solutions are for the case when the number of individuals affected by an epidemic wave is small in comparison to the total population. The differences in the solutions caused by presence of an additional class of people (the recovered people) in the SIR model are discussed.

摘要

We discuss exact solutions connected to two models of epidemic spread. The exact solutions are obtained by means of the Simple Equations Method (SEsM).
