Czech-U.S. relations underwent three phases in the post-Cold War era: from a honeymoon in the 1990s, to a significant cooling during the Presidency of Miloš Zeman, to renewed cooperation. However, this development is accompanied by increasingly polarised domestic political debates in Czechia, the growing unpredictability of future Czech policy towards the U.S. and the U.S. administration towards Europe, and the transatlantic nexus.
