However, today’s geopolitical landscape is shifting. The U.S. is reorienting itself towards the Pacific region, creating uncertainty around future security guarantees for Europe and Norway. At the same time, Norway is closely linked to the EU through the EEA agreement and there is an increasing need to balance transatlantic relations with closer cooperation within Europe.
