The relevance of this research lies in assessing the readiness of universities in the Kyrgyz Republic to address contemporary challenges in digitalization and the digital transformation of education. The research aims to analyze the progress of digitalization in the Kyrgyz educational system, guided by the National Development Strategy (NDS) of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2040 and other documents. The research task is to evaluate the current state of education in the country, focusing on its trajectory toward digital development. Methodologically, this research employs statistical analysis and tracks the dynamics of key indicators. The findings highlight the main directions for integrating new technologies within Kyrgyz universities. This research is pertinent to the educational sector and associated institutions across the country. The analysis revealed positive trends and indicators in the digitalization of education, although challenges remain in terms of funding, which is essential to accelerate digital transformation. Additionally, the growth and quality of educational services are tied to universities’ engagement in enhancing their competitive advantages, which will support the broader goal of advancing digital capabilities within the education sector.
