Climate change is a developmental issue desiring the commitments of all stakeholders, including the mass media to be mitigated. With the emergence and use of Artificial Intelligence, the media practitioners are expected to explore it. Hence, the need for this paper. It adopted survey design using questionnaires as instruments for data collections and administered them on 500 journalists purposively selected across the country. The objectives were to; ascertain the media practitioners’ knowledge level of climate change and artificial intelligence, assess the media use of artificial intelligence in coverage of climate change, and find out the media practitioners' extent of use of artificial intelligence in disseminating climate change hazards in Nigeria. The results of this study showed that media practitioners' knowledge and use of artificial intelligence in disseminating climate mitigation was poor. It recommended increasing training of journalists for better understanding of both climate change and artificial intelligence.
