The Concept of Landscape and the Extraction of Mineral Resources in Germany
摘要
Gravel, sand, quartz, and natural stone are mineral resources present in many and various areas of everyday life. However, there is increasing resistance against their extraction in Germany, particularly with regard to what is seen as the defacement and destruction of beautiful landscape. The article examines the arguments in their various contexts, with particular reference to the dual process of change—i.e. in both the physical foundations and the diverging perceptions of landscape.
