From the conceptualization of landscape as a way of viewing the world, and the associated synthesis according to individually learned social conventions, numerous methodological challenges arise for the reconstruction of individual worldviews and landscape viewing habits. Photography-based research methods and mobile methods such as Go-Along Interviews are particularly suitable for these tasks. This article provides an overview of these methods and classifies them in the context of perception-based research.
