From a constructivist perspective landscape aesthetics investigates aesthetic attributions ascribed to landscape constructs, which play a significant societal role in times of area-intensive spatial transformation processes. In this context, the aesthetic is not understood as a property of a space, but as a social construction. This aesthetic construction of landscapes is subject to an individual interpretation process and deals with the capture and evaluation of various aesthetic sensations. Moreover, aesthetic attributions are not static but changeable and influenceable.
