Borders and Landscape
摘要
Initially, questions about the boundary delineation of ‘landscape’/‘landscapes’—and thus their borders—arise especially from an essentialist and positivist perspective, but are less virulent from a constructivist perspective. The latter, however, can gain analytical insight when recent developments in border research are put to use. The handbook contribution offers an insight into approaches and concepts of Border Studies to give a more precise understanding of the relationship between landscape(s) and border(s) more precisely. Examples illustrate the potential of such a ‘perspective’.
