Their Current Impacts: Landscape Research Classics and Traditions
摘要
Landscape research, as with research in other disciplines, draws from traditional knowledge bases. To make such traditions accessible for reflection, they must first be known and conveyed accordingly. Guided by the sociocultural and particularly aesthetic-oriented history of the term ‘landscape’, historical selections of ancient, medieval, and modern classics of literature, art, discovery, perceptions, as well as the thematization of the historicity of the physical landscape, are contextualized and presented.
