At its last meeting the committee of the Edinburgh Pen and Pencil Club decided to invite Sir Henry Irving to be the guest of the club at a banquet to be held during his approaching engagement at the Edinburgh Lyceum Theatre with Miss Ellen Terry. In reply to a communication, Mr W. W. Macfarlane, the secretary, has received the following letter from Sir Henry’s manager.
