One of the finest tributes to the memory of Alfred Lord Tennyson is the reverence shown by his son and his family. In the two houses where the great poet lived for so many years everything is kept, so far as is possible, as it was in his own lifetime. This is especially so in the rooms which were of his own personal using. At Aldworth his study is just as it was; it only lacks the presence of the man himself as I had first seen him there in 1890.
