The Exposome and Its Influence on Toxicology, Illustrated by the Interaction Between Diet, Social Stress, and Chemicals
摘要
This chapter will explore on how very different exposome factors such as diet, social stress, and chemical exposures interact to influence health outcomes. In this chapter, we’ll start with an introduction to classic interactions such as that between drugs, before tackling the complexity generated by exposure to the multiple molecules that make up our alimentary bolus (from vitamins to contaminants to food additives). This complexity will also be addressed by taking into account the social factors that influence our behaviors and vulnerabilities, as well as our diets. Subsequently, this chapter delves into the complexities of assessing and understanding the roles of the exposome in toxicological responses, highlighting the need for integrated approaches in environmental health research.
