Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy (CLEM) Sample Preparation
摘要
Integrated light microscope (LM) with electron microscopy (EM) hybrid version, has extended new limits of imaging and correlating of respective data at high resolution with functional insight. Chapter further proceed with basic discussion about the working, principle of correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) followed by importance of respective technique in current scenarios of research and development. In addition to explaining about different methods of integration between LM and EM, wide area of respective applications including biological sciences, medical and material research have been summarized. Optimized integration of CLEM with techniques like 3D tomography, super-resolution microscopy etc., have been also discussed. This chapter further, presents trending applications of CLEM dominated analysis in neuroscience, immunology and environment science etc., in addition to remediation-oriented approach of challenges faced during respective technique operation and analysis.
