This chapter explains the physical principles and applications of the different imaging modalities for intraocular tumors and reviews the lesions and tumors of the uveal tract. Uveal tumors include the iris, ciliary body, and choroidal tumors, which are further categorized according to their clinical presentation into melanotic, amelanotic, vascular, and calcified choroidal tumors. The clinical presentation, imaging characteristics, associated syndromes, differential diagnosis, and management of the tumors of each of these categories are methodically demonstrated. Uveal melanoma, the most common primary intraocular tumor in adults, is described in detail, including tumor epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management. Conventional and emerging treatments of uveal melanoma are highlighted. Staging, prognostication, and treatment of melanoma metastatic disease are also reviewed.
