Ocular Surface Tumors
摘要
This chapter describes the presentation and management of ocular surface tumors and demonstrates the evaluation methods for such tumors, including those tumors associated with systemic syndromes. This chapter presents the clinical and investigative characteristics of benign and malignant tumors of the ocular surface epithelium, such as conjunctival papilloma and ocular surface squamous neoplasia. It also details the clinical manifestations, methods of diagnosis, and differentiation from other non-neoplastic simulating lesions in a variety of conjunctival melanocytic, lymphoproliferative, vascular, myogenic, neural, and stromal tumors. Advances in the diagnosis, management, and prognostications of conjunctival melanoma are highlighted. This chapter describes the various treatment modalities of ocular surface tumors, including the surgical approaches of tumors at different ocular surface locations and the applications of cryotherapy, radiotherapy, and drug therapy in managing these tumors.
