Protection of Buildings and Structures from Sedimentary Deformations in Loess Soils Using Injection Mixtures on a Mineral Basis

The article discusses methods for protecting buildings and structures from the effects of sedimentary deformations on loess soils using mineral-based injection mixtures. Loess soils are common in the south of Russia. As a result of the disruption of structural salt bonds between individual soil elements when they are moistened, significant uneven sedimentary deformations develop in loess soil. Currently, there is a list of measures to eliminate the subsidence properties of loess soils. One of the methods can be the use of injection mixtures based on mineral binders. The article analyzes the effect of alkaline activator consumption on the compressive strength of geopolymer binders. It was found that the activity of the geopolymer binder is affected by the presence of an alkaline component in its composition. As a result of the research, it was found that the greatest efficiency for increasing the activity of the geopolymer binder is shown by increasing the dispersion of the binder and the concentration of the alkaline activator. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of the compressive strength of soil concrete prepared by injection impregnation with the strength of soil concrete formed mechanically. The result showed that the strength characteristics of soil concrete differ significantly.
