The complexity of modeling the structural and design scheme of an architectural object under conditions of increased seismic activity of the design site at the conceptual design stage affects the quality and timing, and can also cause inaccuracies that will require additional material and time resources of the client to correct if inefficient models are used. This paper discusses some of the most characteristic problems causing structural failure of buildings in earthquake. Structural seismic protection techniques from antiquity to the present day are analyzed. The specifics of antiseismic design principles are identified. In this study, we propose a comprehensive systematic approach to the development of primary architectural seismic protection solutions at the early stage of design of buildings and structures.
