ERM facilitates a structured process for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the entire organization, thereby enabling a proactive stance toward risk management. Following this, the discussion shifts to specific risk management tools. Proactive tools, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), are examined for their role in anticipating potential failures and implementing preventive measures. FMEA systematically identifies possible failure modes, evaluates their effects on system performance, and prioritizes mitigation strategies. Conversely, reactive techniques like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) are scrutinized for their efficacy in investigating and resolving incidents post-occurrence. RCA focuses on identifying the underlying causes of failures to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
