The paper seeks to explore the integration of systems-focused simulation (SFS) and systems-focused debriefing (SFD) as innovative tools in healthcare project management aimed at addressing inefficiencies, enhancing patient safety, and fostering organizational resilience. By applying a project management approach that is grounded in change management principles and particularly Kotter’s model, healthcare organizations will be able to enhance the effectiveness of SFS/SFD implementations. Moreover, the structured phases of project management, such as planning, buildup, and execution, along with closure, are vital in developing and sustaining simulation-based training, which not only improves the preparedness of medical residents in emergency and critical care settings. Despite the emergence of challenges such as high costs and resistance to change, these barriers can be overcome through strategic planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
