Study on the Optimization of Transporting Blended Crude Oil in Lanzhou-Chengdu Crude Oil Pipeline
摘要
The research is conducted to optimize the shutdown and restart operation of Lanzhou-Chengdu crude oil pipeline. In the pipeline, blended product of Changqing crude oil and the original crude oil is transported. The blended product of the two kinds of crude oil has different properties with either crude oil, and that increases the difficulty of pipeline operation management. For the purpose of this research, experimental testing and analysis are performed on the blended crude oil to explore the varying composition, rheology, and pour point with varying blending ratios, based on which allowable maximum blending ratios around the year are proposed. Then, a dynamic simulation model is established for the shutdown and restart process of Lanzhou-Chengdu crude oil pipeline. For winter and summer conditions, two sets of cases are designed. The results show that the safe shutdown time can be as long as 72 h when the blending ratio is respectively controlled below 25% in summer and below 10% in winter. The findings of this research are expected to be of great significance for guiding actual on-site production.
