Cardiometabolic-Based Chronic Disease
摘要
Cardiometabolic-based chronic disease (CMBCD) comprises those cardiovascular diseases (CVDs; atherosclerosis, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation) impelled by metabolic drivers (abnormal adiposity, dysglycemia, hypertension, and dyslipidemia) and the metabolic drivers themselves (adiposity-based chronic disease, dysglycemia-based chronic disease, hypertension-based chronic disease, and lipid-based chronic disease). The most current CMBCD model is based on three dimensions: metabolic drivers, stages, and personalization (via social determinants of health and transcultural factors). This chapter will focus on the CMBCD model with respect to prevention, lifestyle medicine interventions, and research gaps.
