COVID-19 profoundly transformed people’s lives worldwide. In Peru, this impact was evidenced in economic and social changes, including education, which had to adapt. Connectivity in Peru before the pandemic was very limited, especially in rural areas, so adapting during the pandemic has been a major challenge. However, the government’s efforts with the universities have managed to generate a progressive adaptation, generating a greater digital literacy that allowed a better use of virtual classes. Teachers also had to increase their digital competencies to develop their classes successfully. Undoubtedly, many things could have been done better, but what has been achieved has been very valuable and ensures that education after the pandemic can have complementarity through virtual media.
