This text examines the citizenship of bosses—especially those of large companies. They tend to be considered as people who have the right to privileges, legally. However, the analysis of a set of monographs on French bosses over the previous decades leads us to wonder whether these bosses are responsible citizens or directed leaders. This chapter answers the following questions: What can be said about the exercise of citizenship among bosses, who are particularly privileged social actors? Is the confinement of politics, conceived as concerted action, also a characteristic of this population?
