This handbook has aimed, through 25 chapters, to summarise the current knowledge and scientific evidence on the commonalities and variations in the experiences of AFMs, as well as the effective interventions and problems in providing adequate support for this vulnerable group. In this concluding section, we address the implications of these analyses for improving support to and the visibility of AFMs in the fields of policy, practice and research.
