Digital Agriculture and the Enhancement of Results-based Agri-Environmental and Climate Commitments
摘要
This chapter investigates the establishment of an enabling legal environment for fostering results-based agri-environmental and climate commitments within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023–2027. It focuses on how Digital Agriculture, through technologies such as AI, IoT, big data analytics, and blockchain, can enhance the effectiveness of these commitments. The chapter explores the legislative and regulatory measures necessary to integrate digital technologies into agricultural practices, thereby supporting the CAP’s environmental sustainability and climate resilience objectives. By analyzing the intersection of legal frameworks and digital innovation, this chapter provides insights into creating a robust legal infrastructure that promotes sustainable and climate-friendly agriculture in the European Union.
