Integrating IoT and Data Science for Sustainable Disposal Solutions to Enhance Agricultural Soil Health and Productivity
摘要
This chapter examines the innovative integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and data science to develop sustainable waste disposal solutions aimed at enhancing agricultural soil health and productivity. Traditional waste disposal methods in agriculture often lead to soil contamination and reduced productivity, posing significant challenges. The chapter introduces IoT and data science as transformative tools to address these issues effectively. IoT devices, such as sensors and smart bins, are utilized to gather real-time data on waste composition, moisture levels, and soil health indicators. This data is then analyzed using advanced data science techniques, enabling informed decision-making and optimization of waste management practices. The chapter also explores the application of precision agriculture, smart farming technologies, climate-smart agriculture, and blockchain integration in creating sustainable agricultural systems. Additionally, ethical and privacy considerations related to the use of IoT and data science in agriculture are discussed. Through successful case studies, the chapter demonstrates how these technologies can significantly improve resource efficiency, enhance soil health, and boost agricultural yields. The chapter aims to inspire stakeholders to adopt these sustainable practices, promoting healthier soils and more productive agricultural systems for the future.
