After conducting an extensive literature review of existing papers and case studies (Chap.  1 ), analyzing the evolution of rural built-heritage preservation policies (Chap.  2 ), and examining rural development programs that advocate for sustainable development in recent decades (Chap.  3 ), the research question can be further organized into several sub-questions.
