Just Another Dead French Theorist?
摘要
This section gives some brief biographical details concerning Girard, and contextualises his work within the broader development of “French theory” and his positionality within structuralist and post-structuralist debates. I make the argument for why his work has the potential for developing a bridge between theory and practice in criminal justice. His relationship with Christianity is discussed as is mine in respect of a phenomenological and hermeneutical approach to analysing and discussing his work.
