The Leximetric Methodology Applied to the Analysis of Legal Segmentation in Labour Law: A Critical Appraisal
摘要
This chapter critically examines the use of the leximetric method for the understanding of the historical evolution of labour law and its effects in producing, maintaining or reinforcing labour market segmentation. It conducts this analysis by focussing on the application of leximetrics to the study of the ‘equalising’ function of labour law meant as aimed at counteracting both person-related and contract-related discrimination. This discussion is framed as part of the broader debate about the production and presentation of knowledge through measurement.
