The Impact of Simulation-Based Education on the Development of Problem-Solving Skills and Strategic Thinking Among Students of Arabic Language Departments in the Colleges of Islamic Sciences in Iraq

The study aimed to investigate the impact of simulation-based education on the development of problem-solving skills and strategic thinking among students of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad. Addressing a significant gap in effective educational methodologies, this research employed an experimental design with two groups: a control group and an experimental group, each consisting of 30 students. Using standardized problem-solving and strategic thinking scales, the study measured the impact of simulation-based learning. The findings revealed significant improvements in the experimental group, with post-test scores averaging 20% higher in problem-solving skills and 15% higher in strategic thinking compared to the control group. These results underscore the effectiveness of simulation-based education in enhancing cognitive skills. The study concludes with a call for the integration of simulation-based learning in educational curricula and recommends the provision of necessary technological resources to support this method.”
