Leveraging Strategic Analytics to Enhance Organizational Maturity and Resilience

Purpose: This chapter explores the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) as a structured approach to process maturity, resilience, and continuous improvement. It examines how organizations harness data infrastructure and their respective interpretation tools to transit from informal processes to standardized data-driven frameworks, enhancing operational efficiency, risk management, and long-term sustainability. Design/methodology/approach: The study employs a comprehensive analysis of CMMI’s five maturity levels through industry case studies as empirical evidence. The chapter evaluates the CMMI model’s role, Meta-Data disruption, and analytics tools in process optimization and strategic adaptability. The chapter investigates companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Amazon and examines the benefit analysis of “Predictive Analytics”, “Machine Learning” and “Artificial Intelligence”. These industry references in the chapter highlight how organizations navigate maturity levels to achieve operational excellence and competitive positioning. Findings: The research highlights how CMMI implementation, Meta-Data analysis and Artificial Intelligence versions leads to increased efficiency, predictable performance, and proactive risk mitigation. Organizations progressing through maturity levels achieve measurable improvements in quality management, decision-making, and overall competitiveness. The findings demonstrate that data-driven governance and continuous improvement are key drivers of business resilience. Originality/value: This chapter provides a structured perspective on CMMI’s strategic relevance in modern business landscapes and the technological engagement of organizations. By bridging theoretical frameworks with practical applications the chapter offers valuable insights for industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers.
