Rising global temperatures due to climate change pose a significant threat to health and safety, particularly in the construction sector. The prevalence of outdoor work exposes construction workers to high risks. As a cornerstone of the global economy and a major source of employment, the construction industry must adapt working conditions to mitigate these risks, ensuring worker well-being and promoting sustainable development. This study aims to address the impacts of climate change on construction working conditions through a comprehensive literature review, examining risks such as thermal stress leading to dehydration, exhaustion, and heatstroke, as well as impacts on worker concentration and efficiency, increasing the risk of occupational accidents. The review highlights that most research focuses on evaluating organizational measures that improve working conditions and reduce negative economic repercussions, underscoring the urgency of implementing effective policies to tackle these climate challenges.
