This paper analyses the problem of locating micro-depots in urban areas to improve last-mile deliveries. This improvement encompasses economic, environmental, and social efficiency. Therefore, the location problem is framed as a multi-criteria decision-making problem involving different stakeholder groups. This paper reviews the most recent works in the scientific literature that address this problem in real urban environments. The conclusions reached indicate that there is no homogeneity in determining which criteria to consider and their importance, thus further research in this field is needed.
