This paper aims to review the concepts of Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0. Applying systematic review techniques, the trends and main topics associated to these concepts are analysed. The study provides arguments that illuminate the discussion on the real differences or similarities between these three concepts and on the dilemma of whether the Industry 5.0 concept replaces or complements Industry 4.0.
