The problem of assigning jobs to agents so that each job is assigned only once, agents are not overloaded and the associated cost is minimised has been widely used in industry, particularly in machine allocation. In some processes and industries, the agents to which tasks are to be assigned are human workers and, therefore, the factors to be considered in the assignment are not only technological, but rather ergonomics, appropriateness or experience in a task. This article proposes a conceptual framework to provide people aspects that can be integrated into task assignment models in an Industry 5.0 context. The objective of this paper is to identify key elements of the literature to provide the basis for a conceptual framework to guide the further development of empirical models. The results aim to focus on employee well-being in real decision-making assignment job scenarios. Finally, the main future research trends are identified.
