Remote Work as a Challenge and Lever for New Organizational Models
摘要
With the arrival of the digital age, workplaces have been transformed, resulting in their relocation. There are no longer permanent or personal locations. You work from anywhere. And remote working is part of the daily life of any white-collar worker. In this context, organizations face a challenge and an opportunity that organizational engineering must address. The challenge is the important organizational change (new organizational designs, ways of meeting, sharing information, evaluating performance, capturing talent…) but at the same time it is an opportunity to achieve a more evolved organization. What factors are involved in this organizational change? Is teleworking a lever of change in the organization? In this article we present several cases that have been analysed by the Sustainable Organizations Research Group (GIOS, Spanish acronyms) and help us establish the most relevant factors of teleworking that act as facilitators towards a more evolved organization.
