One of the most polluting sectors in the world is the textile industry, mainly due to fast fashion (large amount of waste) and the lack of recycling. Therefore, it is necessary to change this trend as soon as possible and for this, one of the possible tools are the 4.0 technologies. This paper presents preliminary results based on a qualitative research where 16 interviews have been carried out in depth to try to shed light on the advantages that technologies can bring to the textile industry. The results show that these technologies will be of great importance to the industry in the different phases of the product life cycle (garment), although more research is needed on the applications that will be key to the industry.
