MATLAB is an extremely powerful tool for working with sound. We can use MATLAB for both sound synthesis and sound analysis. It allows us to create custom sounds from scratch and edit existing sounds at will. Additionally, MATLAB can be used to analyze various acoustic characteristics of digital sounds. This chapter demonstrates how to accomplish all of these tasks.
