The challenges we encountered throughout our immigration journey and as we pursued our career objectives were dramatic. Yet we did not let the challenges or obstacles stand in the way of our dreams. As I reflected on my life and the lives of my co-participants, we all shared critical factors that contributed to our resilience and success: we all had a strong work ethic and were mentally tough.
