Voices of Displacement: IDP Perspectives on Intergroup Relations
摘要
In this chapter, I explore the complex process of identity formation among IDPs, focusing on four key elements. My investigation is based on comprehensive fieldwork, through which I first aim to understand how the interplay between their living environments—particularly in densely populated settlements—and their socioeconomic realities affects their sense of self. Through this lens, I not only highlight the living conditions of IDPs but also their day-to-day socioeconomic struggles. This analysis further unpacks how such conditions influence whether IDPs lean toward isolation or seek integration within their host communities, highlighting the dynamic nature of their identity transformation.
