In this chapter, an overview will be given of the current state and role of secondary imaging (computed tomography [CT] angiography and magnetic resonance [MR] angiography) in the context of peripheral arterial disease. Acquisition protocols and imaging reconstruction techniques as well as accuracy of both modalities will be dealt with. Advantages and limitations of both imaging modalities will be discussed. New CT-based techniques like dual-energy CT and photon-counting CT will be described, and an update on non-contrast-enhanced MR angiography will be provided.

摘要

In this chapter, an overview will be given of the current state and role of secondary imaging (computed tomography [CT] angiography and magnetic resonance [MR] angiography) in the context of peripheral arterial disease. Acquisition protocols and imaging reconstruction techniques as well as accuracy of both modalities will be dealt with. Advantages and limitations of both imaging modalities will be discussed. New CT-based techniques like dual-energy CT and photon-counting CT will be described, and an update on non-contrast-enhanced MR angiography will be provided.
