Issues of Ecosystem Services Management
摘要
The management of ecosystem services is an important pillar in the ESG concept implementation. Humanity strives to benefit from the environment as much as possible, mercilessly consuming natural resources and not appreciating the resulting radical consequences and disruptions of sustainable development. Ecosystems perform supply services and, within their scope of activity, support the provision of environmental balance, performing self-regulating and regulatory functions. Incidentally, it is considered relevant to manage ecosystem services so that the resources provided by nature are effectively consumed, taking the direction of self-regulation of ecosystems so that the ESG concept is ensured. The research discusses the ecosystem services management toolkit, offering a framework for management decisions to measure, value, and identify various deviations from services. The authors also proposed a circular model of ecosystem service management. The application of this model makes it possible to provide feedback to the beneficiaries receiving the services and take care of ESG enlargement in companies.
