Purpose: This paper elaborates on the issues of identifying the role of climate finance in responsible innovations, which are aimed at assuaging the consequences of climate change and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the Decade of Action of the UN. Design/Methodology/Approach: The methodology of this research is formed of theoretical provisions that are connected with the concepts of sustainable development, responsible research and innovations, ESG management, etc. The system approach allows agreeing on the provisions and views of different scientific spheres, including public administration, theories of institutionalism, strategic management and innovations, financial and investment spheres, etc. Findings: The results point to the positive dynamics of the volume of climate finance and an increase in the need for such investments, which will accelerate after 2030. Determination of the top-priority direction for investing allows focusing on the necessity of the initial financing of responsible innovations in the energy sphere, transport infrastructure, avoiding losses, development of natural capital, etc. To stimulate such innovations, this paper provides the characteristics of the main financial tools and their possible influence on the stimulation of responsible innovations. Originality/Value: An important result of this work is the justification of the necessity of concentrating financial resources around responsible innovations, which must be achieved in the short-term and connected with the ability of these investments not only to ensure the fight against climate change but also to form the effective long-term economic basis for this.
